If you tip the world over on its side, everything that's not tied down will fall in Los Angeles.

Or at least, if you tilted America over, all the loose stuff aren’t tightly screwed down, would all slide gently in to Southern California. And that’s the beauty of the place, as we discovered on a recent trip to the ‘City of Angels’. There’s something nomadic about the city – the fact that it attracts so many people from all around the world. And that’s actually something very special; the fact that almost everyone in Los Angeles actually wants to be in Los Angeles. What a concept. And on a more practical note, it’s also pretty easy to find people you like, simply because the..uh…shall we say ‘selection of people’ is just so damn big and varied because it’s basically a city of gypsies.

And just like actual gypsies, everybody in LA is always coming and going, moving here and there. There’s really no standing still. With that in mind, The City of Angels is really not a great place to live if you’re looking for routine – to live everyday in a predictable or similar way. On the contrary. It’s a great place to live if you’re looking for change – the city is just permeated with the energy of new beginnings. And new beginnings are always cool things to be a part of – they make people more enthusiastic, more hopeful, more energetic. An example of that is that in LA, everyone just says ‘yes’ to just about everything…All.The.Damn.Time. The word ‘no’ just doesn’t feel at home there.

But funny enough, LA is also one of the loneliest places for a lot of people. Anyone who knows anything about that city will tell you that you spend a lot of time in the car. And that means that a lot of the time you spend in LA is just you alone with your thoughts. That’s enough to drive a lot of people crazy. But at the same time, being alone with yourself can also be a great thing.

And that’s why we find LA so damn inspiring. It’s got everything – misfits, weirdos, wannabes, fake boobs, ends, beginnings, positives, negatives. Everything. We even created an LA-inspired mini-collection in which we translated that inspiration to the clothes: think relaxed fit shirts, hoodies, tattoo prints and more.

So without further ado, here are some of the looks from LA INK:
